Anne Harrison has been working for children and families for over 20 years. She got her start running a teen employment training program at Congreso de Latinos Unidos in 2000. From there she went on to lead and manage programming for children and youth at The School District of Philadelphia, The Mural Arts Program, and Fleisher Art Memorial before returning to Congreso to run the Children and Youth Division in 2013. Under her leadership at Congreso, she expanded programming, partnership, revenue and pioneered expansions.
Anne began her consulting work with Groundwork USA providing Technical Assistance and Program Design across the United States to communities affected by brownfields while also opening a ceramics studio in the Bok building in Philadelphia. Anne was recruited to join Office of Children and Families with the City of Philadelphia, to support the city wide Out of School time programming fund distribution, training and technical assistance.
From the city, she went on to lead The Monkey & The Elephant, a non-profit café dedicated to employing and supporting youth aging out of foster care as the Executive Director. At M&E, Anne was able to double program participation and triple grant revenue all while supporting youth during the pandemic and ensuring organizational sustainability.
In 2022, Anne returned to consulting with the goal of sharing what she has learned along her career journey as a programmer, funder, executive director and creative to support organizations build and sustain in healthy and dynamic ways.
